About me

It’s important to know that your therapist is properly qualified and committed to the highest professional standards.

  • I have been working with clients for over 10 years in private practice and in the not-for-profit sector.
  • I followed a ‘classical’ psychodynamic training at WPF Therapy, one of the most reputable training institutions in the UK.
  • I am an Accredited Member of BACP and UKCP and I adhere to their codes of ethical conduct and good practice.
  • In addition to my private practice, I am currently Head of Counselling at a regional counselling centre, where I have also taught trainee counsellors for several years.
  • I came to psychotherapy as a second career after more than 40 years in a service industry, where I worked at all levels from the ‘shop floor’ to senior executive roles, so I am familiar with the pressures of the modern workplace.
  • I have undertaken several years of therapy myself.  I know what it feels like to be in the client’s chair.
