The first steps
Many people feel hesitant or apprehensive about seeking help from a counsellor or psychotherapist. This is absolutely normal and understandable.
As a first step, please contact me to arrange a brief, informal telephone call. This is just an initial contact to clarify what you are looking for and to arrange the Initial Consultation at a mutually convenient time.
The next step is the Initial Consultation. This is a ‘first contact’ session to enable me to understand what has brought you to therapy and to think about the best way to help you. It also gives us a chance to “meet” remotely or face to face, discuss any concerns that you may have and see how we feel about working together. It may be in the form of an extended (90 mins) session or two standard (50 mins) sessions. If we are both happy to continue, we will agree arrangements for ongoing sessions.
I work with clients in person from my consulting room at the historic Staple Inn, a quiet and convenient Central London location, close to Chancery Lane Underground station and just a few minutes walk from Farringdon Station for Underground and National Rail services. The area is also well served by a number of local bus routes.
I can also offer a limited number of remote sessions conducted by telephone or videocall (Zoom).
English and French
English is my native language, but I am also happy to conduct sessions in French for French-speaking clients.
Please note: Fees are quoted per session and are payable by cash, card or direct bank transfer.
