First steps
It’s only natural to feel hesitant or apprehensive about seeking help from a counsellor or psychotherapist. This is absolutely normal and understandable.
As a first step, please contact me to arrange a brief, informal telephone call. This is just to clarify what you are looking for and to arrange an Initial Consultation at a mutually convenient time.
Initial Consultation
The next step is the Initial Consultation. This is a ‘first contact’ session to enable me to understand what has brought you to therapy and to think about the best way to help you. It also gives us a chance to “meet” remotely, or preferably face to face, to discuss any concerns that you may have and see how we feel about working together. It may be in the form of an extended (90 mins) session or two standard (50 mins) sessions. If we are both happy to continue, we will agree arrangements for ongoing sessions.
Session Times and Locations
Chelmsford: Thursday morning
(main clinic is Thursday although other daytime appointments may be available on request).
I work with clients in person at my consulting room in central Chelmsford, just a few minutes walk from the railway station and town centre. The area is well served by public transport and there are parking facilities nearby.
London: Thursday evening
I work with clients in person at my consulting room in the historic Staple Inn; a quiet and convenient Central London location, close to Chancery Lane Underground station and just a few minutes walk from Farringdon Station for Underground and National Rail services. The area is well served by a number of local bus routes.
A note on remote working
I may also work remotely by videocall or telephone in certain circumstances but this will be considered on a case by case basis for clients that normally attend in person.
Please note that I can only accept clients who are permanently resident in the UK and registered with a UK General Practitioner (GP).
Fees
Fees are quoted per session and are payable by card or direct bank transfer.
